We wish we had more pictures to show.  Adam was the only one taking shots, and he wasn't happy with them all.
The Times Standard's Josh Jackson was there, and Luna was featured in the 01/20/08 issue.

February 9, 2008 - pics from our 7th HCHS meeting (1st anniversary!)
This meeting was called early so we could get organized for the HSU Natural History Museum herp fair on
March 1st.  New to our meetings were Chris, Nancy, Brad, Lena (& Co), and Amanda.  Welcome!  Also present
were Vanessa of the California Reptorium and Jessi Floto.  Vanessa discussed possible Outreach
opportunities for the HCHS via a program of hers with the Sequoia Park Zoo.   Chris brought some of his
Chrispycritters for show and tell!  He even gave away a few of his Usumbara Orange Baboon Tarantulas.  The
group also felt it timely to address the issue that Caden Chapman has been working on - the federal efforts to
possibly restrict boa and python ownership nationwide.  Please click the following link if you have not yet heard
of this:

REPTILE & AMPHIBIANS DISCOVERY DAY
HSU Natural History Museum
March 1, 2008
The Humboldt County Herpetological Society and the California Reptorium joined Dr. Sharyn Marks and her HSU
herpetology class for a fun-filled day at the museum sharing herps with the public!  Many fascinating specimens were
on display!  The public was great, especially all the kids!  Thanks once again to everyone who volunteered their
beloved critters and to all of you who pitched in with set-up and handling.  The children would not have had as much
fun if it wasn't for all the snake wranglers!  Let's do this more often!
